The event draws more than 500 participants each year, who also enjoy music, outdoor recreation and entertainment on the grounds. Le Pops Gourmet Ice Lollies will be on hand serving popsicles. 8 a.m.-noon Sept. 13. For info: (501) 379-9512, TheaFoundation.org. FREE!

2. Pop Up Park Hill on JFK Blvd.: Pop Up in the Rock is part of the national movement called the "Better Block Project" whose goal is to enhance streets for a weekend to inspire permanent change. This year's event will bring a dog park, bike rentals, beer garden, food trucks, art gallery, rock climbing wall and more to the Park Hill area. Families can participate in the free KIDical Mass bike ride from Idlewild Park to the event. Pre-ride games start at the park at 10 a.m. and the ride begins at 10:30 a.m. Attendees can also listen to live music, check out a BMX bike show, participate in a kids yoga class, engage in a puppet workshop with the Children's Library & Learning Center and much more. 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Sept. 13.
