We officially can't wait for warm weather, and it has nothing to do with the past two weeks of snow and ice (because, really, we love a good snow day or three). No, there are two events that have us stoked for summer: Slide the City and the Insane Inflatable 5K. Here's what we know:

Slide the City: Our sister publication first reported that the traveling event Slide the City had Little Rock on its "coming soon" list. Slide the City brings a 1,000-foot vinyl slip-and-slide to city streets around the country--you bring an inflatable tube (or alligator or whale!) and zip on down. The block party includes music, food, and a soaking good time.

Kids who are over 46 inches tall or older than five years will be allowed to slide (with parent's signature, of course). Slide the City has still not posted event dates for Little Rock, but you can sign up on their website to be notified when new details become available!

Insane Inflatable 5K: Not a runner? Not a problem. You can bounce your way through half of this race full of inflatable obstacles, including the world's largest and bounciest ball pit, mazes that will tangle you up and much more. To cross the finish line, you'll have to climb the Vertigo inflatable, which is 5 1/2 stories high, then slide down the other side! It probably won't be easy, but we know it will be fun. After the race, you can celebrate at the Midway with inflatable games and activities, music spun by DJ's, food and more.

There's no minimum age and kids who are 42 inches or taller can sign up to participate. The Insane Inflatable 5K is scheduled for July 25 at Burns Park in North Little Rock. Registration is open now; click here to check it out.

Come on, summer!
