It's easy being green this weekend! Wear your green on Saturday and head to downtown Little Rock and North Little Rock, where you'll find a family-friendly St. Patrick's Day Parade and a nature conservation celebration--both free. St. Patrick's Day Parade: "Rock to North Little Rock": Organized by the Irish Cultural Society of Arkansas, this free parade is a family-friendly event that marches from 3rd and Rock Street in downtown Little Rock through the River Market and across the river into North Little Rock’s Argenta Arts District. The parade includes marching bagpipe bands, Irish music and songs, Irish step dancing, Irish wolfhounds, clowns, decorated floats and more. Immediately following the parade, a short program called “Dancing at the Crossroads” is held at Fourth and Main in North Little Rock. 1 p.m. March 14. For more info, visit IrishArkansas.org. Arkansas Game and Fish Commission Family Fair Centennial Celebration: Celebrate 100 years of conservation with the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission at open house events throughout the state. In Little Rock, visit the Central Arkansas Nature Center to take part in free nature games, a Wildlife Officer K-9 demonstration, alligator feeding, archery and BB gun ranges, education stations, door prizes, and more. 1-4 p.m. March 14. The Marriage of Figaro, Family Style at UCA Reynolds Performance Hall in Conway: This year's children's concert from the Conway Symphony Orchestra is a unique presentation of Mozart's comic opera. Adapted specifically for families, the one-hour performance will stage select scenes from the opera with full sets and costumes. Dog Days Event at Bass Pro Shops: Bring your furry family member to enjoy free seminars, photo downloads, paw print certificates and vendor demos. Dogs and their owners can enter to win prizes, too. ASO: "Here to Stay: A Gershwin Experience" at Connor Performing Arts Center at Pulaski Academy: Arkansas Symphony Orchestra celebrates the music of George and Ira Gershwin. The orchestra will be joined by vocalist Sylvia McNair and pianist Jeffrey Biegel to perform favorites like “Someone to Watch Over Me” and “I Got Rhythm.” 7:30 p.m. March 14 & 3 p.m. March 15.
