From April 21-23, the Little Rock School District will once again host Artistry in the Rock at the Metroplex Event Center.

The three-day student showcase, now in its fifth year, highlights the creative and performing art talents of students in grades K-12. A student art gallery is open each day from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Plus, performances from schools--ranging from piano recitals to dance performances--take place daily from 9:30 a.m.-1 p.m. View the full schedule here.

The event wraps up with a live jazz reception and silent auction featuring faculty and student artwork at 6 p.m. April 23. The evening's entertainment includes performances from Voices Without Borders Elementary Honor Ensemble, MUSED with I.J. Routen, and Jazz R US with Danny Fletcher. Refreshments will be served. Proceeds from the auction will benefit the Dr. Morris Holmes Artistry Scholarship Fund, with scholarships being awarded to deserving LRSD high school seniors this year.
