Enjoy the last weekend of May with several events going on around central Arkansas! CALSCon takes over the CALS Main Library, Magic Springs Water & Theme Park kicks off its summer concert series with a performance from country musician Randy Houser, and Travelers are in town for lots of baseball fun.

CALSCon Events at CALS Main Library: Get your geek on at this family-friendly celebration of all things fandom. Attendees of all ages are encouraged to dress as their favorite characters for the cosplay contest at 4 p.m., participate in a social media scavenger hunt, build in the Lego area and more. Summer Concert Series: Randy Houser at Magic Springs Water & Theme Park in Hot Springs: Rock out after a fun day at the park! The summer concert series kicks off with a performance from Randy Houser, country music star with three number one hits: “How Country Feels,” “Runnin’ Outta Moonlight” and “Goodnight Kiss.” Gates open at 6 p.m., opening act at 7 p.m. and headliner at 8 p.m. May 30. Sixth Annual Take Steps for Chron's & Colitis Walk at Clinton Presidential Center: Walk to raise funds for IBD research and local CCFA chapters. New to this year’s event is the Stepsy Market on the Clinton Center grounds. The shopping extravaganza will feature handmade wares, including jewelry, accessories, clothing and more. Arkansas Travelers vs. Corpus Christi Hooks at Dickey Stephens Park: Root for the home team during the three night-series! The Saturday game is also Clunker Boat Night, which gives audience members the chance to win a beat-up old boat! Wiggle Worms at Museum of Discovery: This weekly workshop introduces science to children ages 6 and younger with a fun experiment. This weekend’s class sounds delicious: It’s called “Food Discoveries” and is sponsored by Whole Foods Market. And while you’re at the museum, don’t forget to visit the current exhibit, Mindbender Mansion, which is full of puzzles, brainteasers and interactive challenges! 10 a.m. May 30.
