Elvis Lives, Celebrity Attractions

Broadway fans, it's coming: "The Phantom of the Opera." Cameron Mackintosh’s all-new production of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s classic will make its Arkansas premiere in Little Rock in March 2017.

The story of a masked figure who lurks beneath the catacombs of the Paris Opera House has been captivating audiences on the Broadway stage for 27 years. Not only will Mackintosh's version of the tale be performed in the beautifully renovated Robinson Center Music Hall, the new production features reinvented staging, scenic design, and a huge traveling cast and orchestra of 52. Until Robinson's current renovations, such a large show could not be accommodated in Little Rock.

Fans of the original production, don't worry—Andrew Lloyd Webber's music is still at the heart of the traveling show. Other key elements, including the Tony Award-winning costumes by Maria Bjornson, will also remain in the refreshed production. And, of course, the Phantom will still fall madly in love with young soprano, Christine.

Until the exciting show arrives for its two-week run March 8-19, 2017, theater fans can enjoy other shows brought to the stage by Celebrity Attractions. The 2015-2016 season will be hosted at the Maumelle Performing Arts Center. Here's the lineup:
