National Fire Protection Association wants families to know: "Hear the Beep Where You Sleep: Every Bedroom Needs a Working Smoke Alarm" to increase awareness about life-saving measures in your home. The key message of this year's Fire Prevention Week campaign, October 4-10, is to install smoke alarms in every bedroom, outside each separate sleeping area, and on every level of your home, including the basement.

You can learn more about fire prevention and preparedness at the National Fire Protection Association website here. In the central Arkansas area, you can also attend two events to help start fire safety conversations with your kiddos!
