Just in time for the Halloween season, the Arkansas Arts Center Children's Theatre presents the spooky American classic, The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. The headless horseman and his pals will take the stage Oct. 23-Nov. 8.

In case you've forgotten the tale, here are the basics: Ichabod Crane is the newly-hired schoolmaster of Sleepy Hollow, a superstitious community in New York’s Hudson Valley, 1790. He persistently professes his disbelief in all things supernatural—until the night of Katrina Van Tassel’s Halloween Frolic, that is. Riding home that evening, Ichabod comes face to face—so to speak—with Sleepy Hollow’s most feared and famous ghost.

Remember, the play is recommended for children in third grade and up. Younger family members and those who frighten easily might not enjoy the ghosts and gremlins that give the production its thrills!

The Legend of Sleepy Hollow will play Oct. 23-Nov. 8: 7 p.m. Fri., 2 p.m. Sat. & Sun. School performances are also available; click here for dates and info.

Tickets are $12.50; AAC members $10; children under 2 free. Pay What You Can Night is available for the preview performance at 7 p.m. Oct. 22. Tickets must be purchase in person from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. at the Arkansas Arts Center Visitors Center or from 6-6:45 p.m. at the Children's Theatre Box Office.
