Ready or not, the holidays are coming! In fact, Santa Claus arrives at Park Plaza Mall this weekend for photos with kids and a Polar Pajama Party. If you aren't quite ready to take the holiday plunge, there are still plenty of autumn activities to keep your family occupied, including the Harvest Festival at North Little Rock's St. Joseph Center and the Arkansas Cornbread Festival on South Main Street.

Harvest Festival at St. Joseph Center in North Little Rock: Explore the grounds and history of the St. Joseph Center, which has served as an orphanage, preschool and artists’ residence. Visitors can take building tours, go on hayrides, grab a bite from a food truck and try out craft brews, listen to music and play games, meet furry friends from the North Little Rock Animal Shelter and take part in the pie baking contest. Coca-Cola: An American Original Exhibit Opens at Clinton Presidential Center: Celebrate the iconic Coca-Cola bottle at this new exhibit, which features iconic images and advertising campaigns that helped define the classic American brand. Illustrations will include three original paintings by Norman Rockwell, nine original Haddon Sundblom illustrations, and several images of Santa Claus—including the first Coca-Cola Santa painted by Fred Mizen, which appeared in The Saturday Evening Post in December 1930. Visitors will also see an original glass bottle that was produced in 1902, pop art by Andy Warhol and a full-size, antique Coca-Cola delivery truck. Arkansas Symphony Orchestra: Beethoven & Blue Jeans at Maumelle Performing Arts Center: The Stella Boyle Smith Masterworks Series continues with selections from Beethoven with Maestro Philip Mann and a special performance by Kelly Johnson, clarinet. Families will especially enjoy Tchaikovsky’s “Swan Lake Suite.” Plus, Scott McAllister’s “Black Dog” should add interest—the work is inspired by Led Zeppelin’s song of the same name and other classic rock. 5th Annual Arkansas Cornbread Festival on South Main Street in Little Rock: This event offers up plenty varieties of cornbread samples to visitors—from spicy to sweet and everything in between. As you snack and stroll through South Main, you can shop for Arkansas-made goods and art, listen to bands and take a pic with Cosmo the Cornbread Man mascot! 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Nov. 7. Santa Claus and Polar Pajama Party at Park Plaza Mall: Santa arrives at Park Plaza on Nov. 7 to visit with boys and girls every day until Christmas Eve. And, on his first day in town, the Big Man is hosting a pajama party. Kids can come dressed in their PJ’s, bring a favorite stuffed animal, enjoy snowfall, snack on milk & cookies, meet a penguin from the Little Rock Zoo, and conduct a cold-weather experiment with the Museum of Discovery. Santa arrives at 10:45 a.m. to read “The Night Before Christmas” and take photos. Party is 10 a.m.-noon Nov. 7; Santa takes photos from 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Nov. 7. Free; photo packages available. Mini Maker Faire: Make & Collaborate at Barnes & Noble West Little Rock: B&N in WLR presents its first Mini Maker Faire Nov. 6-8! The event features hands-on learning and making opportunities in the areas of ideation, creative thinking, art, design, construction and innovation, as well as programming, coding and 3D printing. Activities are for children ages five and older and adults, too! Stop by all three areas:

Fall Fest at the White County Pioneer Village: Celebrate Fall at the 1880s-inspired Pioneer Village. Enjoy costumed guides, food, pioneer crafts, music, camp fire cooking, farm animals, games for children, and a Civil War re-enactment complete with cannons! Super Sunday Free Family Funday at Arkansas Arts Center: Take part in this free art-making experience for the whole family! The Legend of Sleepy Hollow at Arkansas Arts Center Children's Theatre: It's your last weekend to get swept along this wild midnight ride of a story with the gremlins, ghosts and galloping headless horsemen which haunt this American Halloween classic.
