Organic produce, locally-grown foods, free nutrition classes—we're ready for you, Natural Grocers!

Our sister publication, Arkansas Business, reported earlier this week that the Colorado-based grocery retailer will open its first Little Rock store on Jan. 19. The store will be located at 9210 Rodney Parham Road in Little Rock on a site that was previously home to Fu Xing Asian Buffet restaurant.

So, why are we so excited? Well, we just love food. But we're also pumped that this store is all about living a healthy lifestyle—we're always striving to do better for our families, right? Natural Grocers will offer organic and natural groceries, body care and dietary supplements. Plus, each store has its own nutritional health coach who hosts in-store nutrition presentations and is available for one-on-one health coaching sessions.

We're also loving the lineup of free nutrition classes and recipe demos, which includes a gluten-free cooking presentation with Paula Dempsey from Dempsey Bakery, a class that teaches the health benefits of chocolate (yes, please!), pickling demonstrations and more.

Oh, and did we mention that the first 60 people on opening day will receive a Natural Grocers gift card?

Natural Grocers opens with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 7:55 a.m. Jan. 19; the store is located at 9210 Rodney Parham Road in Little Rock. For more info, visit NaturalGrocers.com.
