Ever wondered how Peter Pan arrived at Never Never Land? "Peter and the Starcatcher", a Tony Award-winning play based on Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson's best-selling novel, reimagines Peter Pan's origin story. In the tale, you'll discover how a nameless orphan's journey battling pirates and a giant crocodile lead him to a very familiar island. The adventures begin on the Arkansas Repertory Theatre stage this Friday, Jan. 22!

Fans of Pan will recognize some of the play's iconic characters—Black Stache the pirate captain and his sidekick Smee, for example. But you'll also be introduced to some new faces, too, including 13-year-old Molly Aster, a Starcatcher apprentice who attempts to return a trunk of stolen starstuff to her father with a little help from three orphan boys.

There are 12 actors in the cast who play more than 100 roles, as well as inanimate objects, during #starcatcheratarkrep!

The action-filled adventure features 12 actors who will portray more than 100 characters in a feat of theater magic. The inventive production made a splash Off-Broadway in New York in 2011, eventually opening on Broadway in 2012. Since then, the play has picked up five Tony Awards and launched two national tours. The production you'll see on The Rep's stage was produced by the Arkansas Repertory Theatre in conjunction with Fayetteville's TheatreSquared.
