Where do you go in Central Arkansas to learn about science and technology? Parents know the answer: The Museum of Discovery! The institution continues to prove its dedication to STEM education with its newest program. Along with the Arkansas STEM Coalition, the museum is partnering with Walmart to introduce Million Women Mentors in Central Arkansas.

Arkansas is the 31st state to launch the Million Women Mentors program, which matches STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) professionals with young women—from middle school students to career-ready college grads. The ultimate goal of the mentoring program is to increase the workforce in STEM career fields.

The public can attend a kick-off event to learn more about the program on Friday, April 22 at 10 a.m. in downtown Little Rock's Ron Robinson Theatre. Attendees will receive a detailed overview of the program and learn how to get involved. Click here for more information.
