Ready or not, summer break is almost here. And one of our favorite educational activities for families is back—summer reading programs at the libraries!

The 2016 theme at the Central Arkansas Library System locations and both branches of Laman Library is "On Your Mark, Get Set, Read!" The annual summer program not only promotes literacy and reading; this year's theme focuses on wellness, fitness and sports, too. And, in addition to checking out books and logging reading progress, families can attend free events, activities and performances all summer long.

Central Arkansas Library System Locations: All you need is a library card to join the club! The fun includes learning, playing, storytimes, musical shows, magic and more.
