School is starting back up and that means kids are already missing the dog days of summer. Help them ease back into the school year with some of these fun, end-of-summer activities ranging from a science bash to a morning spent at Altitude Trampoline Park.

Back to School Splash at the Splash Zone in Jacksonville: Families slip, slide and dive into the night at the last bash of the summer. Music by DJ Chad Mansfield will play. Must be 48 inches or taller to ride the slides. Children under 9 years old must be accompanied by an adult. Concessions are available. Handicap accessible. Travs vs. Corpus Christi Hooks at Dickey-Stephens Park: The Arkansas Travelers take on the Corpus Christi Hooks at home in a three-game series. Game time is 7:10 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 6:10 p.m. Sunday. Friday is Razorback Nation Theme Night and the final 10th Season Celebration Series Giveaway, Saturday features pre-game midget wrestling, and Sunday is Easter in August Theme Night as well as Operation: Military Appreciation Night. Family Fun Jump at Altitude Trampoline Park: Join Autism Speaks Arkansas to meet other families, learn more about the Walk and 5K coming up in October and get ready to start fundraising! Summer Science Smash at Mid-America Science Museum: Celebrate the end of summer with a messy day of science fun! Burst water ballon piñatas, make shaving cream play-doh, watch watermelons explode and more! KYE-YAC International board members are on site volunteering to help area youth with many of the hands-on science activities at the museum.
