Do you love taking pictures of your kids and family but wish you were better at it? Do you want to take your photography skills beyond an iPhone and Instagram filters?

Bedford Camera & Video is holding its two-day Photo Expo Aug. 19 and 20 for the fourth year. The event features keynote speakers, model shootouts, presentations and giveaways. The expo at the C.A. Vines 4-H Center represents an opportunity for parents and hobbyists to increase their photography skills by attending lectures and taking part in activities and demonstrations.

In our September issue we offer tips for taking better photos with your phone, but this event focuses on parents and families that choose to capture family moments with DSLRs. The doors open for the event at 12:45 p.m. Friday, Aug. 19.

Passes are $100 for the two-day event with Fri. dinner for $15, Sat. lunch for $12, Sat. dinner for $15 or all meals for $35. The tradeshow is open from 12:45-7:45 p.m. Fri. and 7:30 a.m. - 9:15 p.m.
