The Arkansas Arts Center will begin their Children's Theatre season with "Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day." The performance will run from Sept. 22-Oct. 9.

Here's what the Arts Center has to say about the play:

Who hasn’t had a day like Alexander’s? Yours may not have included gum in your hair and getting smushed in the carpool and getting a cavity at the dentist and about a thousand other elementary school agonies, but a bad day is a bad day. But fear not. Alexander makes it through—with a little help from Mom.

Going to the theatre for an evening is a perfect way for parents to relax while the kids are entertained and sitting still. Plus, the show is based on the book by Judith Viorst — great to read before the show or afterward to relive it at home!

Regular tickets are $12.50 for general admission, $10 for Arkansas Arts Center Members, $10 per person for groups of 10 or more and children 2 years of age and under are free. Pay What You Can Night will be on Thursday, Sept. 22 at 7 p.m. Tickets must be purchased at the Arkansas Arts Center on the day of the performance from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. at the Stephens Inc. Visitors Center or when the Box Office opens at 6 p.m.
