Although it hosts several sporting events, War Memorial Stadium is best known as the part-time home field for the University of Arkansas Razorbacks football team.

What better way to celebrate fall than at the Arkansas Razorbacks game at War Memorial Stadium on Saturday, Oct. 1? If sports aren't really your thing, we still have you covered. Arkansas Razorbacks versus Alcorn State at War Memorial Stadium: University of Arkansas Razorbacks take on the Alcorn State Braves for the team's fifth game of the season. The Braves are the reigning champs of the SWAC athletic conference, but will be underdogs against The Razorbacks and their SEC pedigree. $35 south end zone tickets are available. Arkansas Goat Festival at Perryville Park: Goat owners and enthusiasts from around the state gather for a free festival. Goat owners from around the state are invited to dress up their goats for the goat costume contest and to enter them in the goat races and parade. The event also includes an art show featuring goat-themed art, a celebrity goat milking contest, live music, food and vendors. Attendees can enjoy music from the Fat Soul Band, The Boomers, goat ice cream from Loblolly Creamery, chili and smoked meat from Mustang Sally's, Mexican fare from Los Alamos, goat petting and cheese-making demonstrations courtesy of Heifer Ranch. 33rd Annual Fish Fry at Camp Aldersgate: Camp Aldersgate's 33rd Annual Fish Fry with fun for the whole family including games, fishing, an upscale merchants pavilion, live music and more. Bring the whole family! $15. Oct. 2, noon to 3 p.m. For info: (501) 225-1444, campaldersgate.net.

Miracle League Car and Bike Show at Monticello High School: $25 registration for participants, includes lunch, and free for spectators. Hamburger and hot dog lunches are available for $5. Free activities for kids. Trophies for first, second and third place for each class as well as "Best of Show" for car/truck and motorcycle. We will also have 50/50 raffle and door prizes. Proceeds go to Seark Miracle League. The Miracle League is a non-profit organization that builds baseball fields for kids with disabilities. Scott's High Cotton on the Bayou Festival at Scott Plantation Settlement: Step back in time with pioneer spirit, arts and crafts, baked goods, face paintings, a farmers market, train station tour, hay rides, barbecue and all day live music with Rod Ragsdale and Carol Dabney.
