The recent issue of the Bruin Press made headlines at Pulaski Academy Middle School: It was the first edition ever of the schoolwide newspaper, which is produced by seventh- and eighth-grade students at PA.

And the news goes beyond lunch menus. Stories range from interviews, profiles, trending subjects, polls and surveys, as well as school events. The Bruin Press, which expanded from a sixth-grade newspaper last year, is being led for the second year by co-editors Alex Holder and Claire Hobson, both seventh-graders this year.

The school is inviting all seventh- and eighth-graders interested in writing or photography to join the staff. Copies of the paper are available at several spots on campus.
