This classic tale of "Beauty and the Beast" isn't quite "as old as time" like the song suggests, but it's been around for a long time.

Go hang out with Mrs. Potts, Belle, Gaston and all your other favorite characters from this captivating Disney story when the musical show hits the stage from Dec. 1-18 right here in Little Rock.

Gabrielle-Suzanne Barbot de Villeneuve's original short story was published in 1740 and the most popular version of the story came to life in 1991 via Disney's The Beauty and The Beast, a musical film (and one that almost every little girl has seen and loved).

The story of Prince Adam (the Beast) and Belle shows how true love is about more than appearances. Parents can relive the excitement as they introduce their kids to a childhood favorite.

The show's director is Mark A. Burbank, musical director is Jeannie Cross, and Stacy Hawking is the choreographer.

Tickets for the show are $15-$25. Shows are at 7:30 p.m. Thursday-Saturday and 2:30 p.m. on Sundays from Dec. 1-18. For more information call (501) 374-2615 or email TheStudioTheatre@gmail.com. Purchase tickets here. The Studio Theatre is at 320 West 7th St. in downtown Little Rock.
