Adult coloring books are all the rage these days. For families, that's good news because it's one more thing parents can do with kids!

Some parents may want a more artsy feel from their coloring sessions. That's where Jane F. Hankins comes in. Hankins is a local artist who has published two fine art coloring books, "The Imaginary World of Jane F. Hankins Vol. 1 and 2."

Hankins hosts coloring sessions from 6:15-7 p.m. every Wednesday in January at the Trinity Episcopal Cathedral staff lounge. She also has her coloring books available for purchase at the events.

The free events offer a limited number of free pages to color as well as instruction on coloring techniques from the artist herself. The books are spiral-bound prints of her original pen-and-ink drawings on professional grade paper that is ready for framing. Hankins says that watercolor washes may also be used on the high-quality paper.

Each book consists of 25 prints and costs $39.95. The books are designed, printed and published in Arkansas.

A dinner is held at 5:15 p.m. each week directly before this event and is $7 a person. Visit Hankins' Facebook page for more information.
