Shiitake Mushroom Farming at Garvan Woodland Gardens: This workshop, presented by Dennis and Becky Denison, focuses on the habitat preparation, growing and harvesting of shiitake mushrooms. Participants inoculate logs of oak and sweetgum with mushroom spawn to create a habitat that can produce mushrooms for several years! All materials are provided. Sweetheart Hayride and Campfire at Pinnacle Mountain State Park: Take a ride through one of the most elusive areas of the park during this fun hayride guided by park interpreters. Unique views of Pinnacle Mountain will be featured along the way, as well as programming on winter wildlife. S’mores and hot chocolate will await you at the end of the route. Lanterns! Winter Festival at Wildwood Park for the Arts: Wildwood's annual festival celebrates the first full moon of the lunar new year. Guests are transported to faraway lands and times as they stroll through the beautifully lit pathways of Wildwood's gardens. Cultural vistas feature live entertainment, food, drink, games and more throughout the Park's Butler Arboretum and inside the Lucy Lockett Cabe Festival Theatre. Shuttles run beginning at 6 p.m. nightly until 30 minutes past the Festival's closing. Limited parking is also available at Wildwood. Feb. 10-12, 6 p.m.-midnight.
