If your kids  can't stay out of the kitchen, this fun event might be right up their alley.

Each year, Pulaski Tech hosts the Diamond Chef fundraiser, a professional cooking competition with an evening of food, fun and philanthropy. This year, they are adding the Diamond Chef in the Rough competition just for kids.

The competition is on April 13 and is open for up to 12 young chefs ages 10-17 who have successfully completed Pulaski Tech’s Youth Chefs Camp.

Kids will learn how to decorate cakes like a pro from from Pulaski Tech culinary students and faculty. Each student will be equipped with the basics for baking breads, pastries, and cakes along with fillings. They can practice organization, teamwork, and time management as they learn and compete in a fun environment.

Registration for Diamond Chef in the Rough is $75 per student and the registration deadline is March 31. Contact Gemessia Hudson for registration information at ghudson@pulaskitech.edu or (501) 812-2771 and visit the website for more information.
