It's a popular dream for kids to want to be professional ball players.

If a kid is really good at baseball or softball, they may not always get the individual recognition they deserve. The Pitch, Hit and Run skills competition is a free event that gives little athletes a chance to show their stuff. This official Major League Baseball competition stops in Jacksonville at 10 a.m. on March 25 at Excell Park.

Kids are divided into age groups and a champion for each event (pitching, hitting and running) is named after the competition. All participants must bring a copy of their birth certificate and fill out a registration/waiver form prior to the start of the competition. Participants also need to bring a glove.
