Kids are exceptionally good at making messes. For one day, instead of keeping them clean, it's time to let them dive in and get dirty.

At the Musem of Discovery's fourth annual Messtival, kids get to play, learn and make a mess. The event goes from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. on May 18 and the staff at the Museum of Discovery will be cleaning it all up.

The event celebrates the end of the school year and the beginning of summer. Make sure to wear clothes that can get dirty and to bring a change of clothes for the ride home.

There are more than 15 activity stations for kids to dig into, including demonstrations and hands-on fun, including “BubbleTron 3000” a mud pie kitchen, slime tent, Oobleck pools and human car wash.

There will also be face paint, magnetic painting, PVC water play, and many more activities. Hoses are on hand to spray everyone off before heading home.

The festival is included with regular admission: $10 for adults and $8 for children 12 and younger. For more information, visit the museum's website or call (501) 396-7050.
