From April to September each year, people flock to Dickey-Stephens Park for Arkansas Travelers minor league baseball games and river and skyline views.

Red, White & Zoo Day at the Little Rock Zoo: Members of the military, veterans, and their families are invited to visit the Zoo during Memorial Day weekend. Half-price admission for military members and their families, $1 hotdogs and $1 apple pies in Café Africa. Arkansas Circus Arts performers will be juggling, walking on stilts and hula-hooping on Saturday. Splash Zone in Jacksonville: Jacksonville's premiere water park opens Memorial Day weekend. Children can take a dip in the plunge pool, slip down two water slides, get showered by umbrella-shaped water features and more. Disney's Beauty and the Beast, Jr. at Ron Robinson Theater: Bearden Productions puts on a stage version of the classic Disney animated movie and recent live-action movie. The story tells of Belle, a young woman in a provincial town, and the Beast, who is really a young prince trapped under the spell of an enchantress.
