This fund assists single parents who are enrolled in college or technical programs and are seeking better-paying careers in order to support their families. Each county runs its own scholarship fund and deadlines are available online.

Parenting Through Divorce Transitions

Support and guidance through divorce issues with parenting and transitions: grief work, parenting plans, dealing with distrust, financial fears, work transitions, etc. Cost is $25 per person; meets weekly for four sessions.

Parent Education Classes at the Centers for Youth and Families

The CFYF offers a variety of parenting classes throughout the year and has covered topics in the past such as divorce and separation, co-parenting and communication and coping skills. Courses range from one to six weeks and the cost is $10 per class. Visit the website for current class offerings.

Arkansas Department of Human Services

The DHS offers a variety of need-based support services including the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, Transitional Employment Assistance and the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program.
