Get your library cards ready, it's time for another summer of reading fun! And the Central Arkansas Library System's Summer Reading Club isn't just for kids — there are teen and adult programs as well.

Each branch of the Central Arkansas Library System (CALS) will host programs around this year's theme, "Build a Better World." Program topics include volunteerism, conservation, ecology, construction, and engineering.

Registration begins online on Tuesday, May 30 and the programs begin Monday, June 12. The complete schedule and details about Summer Reading Club are also available online.

Participants will receive Summer Reading Club materials and can attend programs at any of the branches as well as attend special events and celebrations throughout the summer.

Special events include the Kidstock Family Music Festival at the Hillary Rodham Clinton Children's Library & Learning Center on Saturday, June 10 and Library Night at the Arkansas Travelers on Thursday, July 20.

All library programs are free, but a library card is required to check out books and other resources.

In addition, CALS is partnering with the Arkansas 529 College Investing Plan to offer students a chance to enter a scholarship drawing. For more information on the program, click here
