Heifer International does work right here in the USA, too — and a new exhibit will showcase just that.

The nonprofit organization headquartered in downtown Little Rock is opening the brand new Heifer NOW exhibit on Thursday, July 6 with a grand opening party from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

Heifer NOW is an interactive and rotating exhibit that will directly showcase Heifer’s work both here in the United States and abroad. First up, Heifer NOW will feature the Heifer USA program and the organization's work with farmers in Arkansas.

The first 100 guests will receive a special surprise, and there will be giveaways throughout the day. Special activities for the day will include kid’s crafts (a take home pop-up book), seed starts for planting, a farm-themed photo booth, and a visit with some of Heifer’s best ambassadors — goats, alpacas and a mini-jersey calf. There will also be lunch specials at the Café@Heifer.

And while you're there to check out the new exhibit, take a walk out behind the main building to see the Urban Farm. It's free to visit and the little barnyard features pigs, goats, alpacas, chickens and turkeys. For more about the Urban Farm, click here.
