With so many fundraising galas and fancy nonprofit dinners in town, it can be difficult to find events that are casual and family-friendly. That’s where the Arkansas Foodbank comes in.

The second annual Harvest Night is Sept. 16 from 5-8 p.m. at the Arkansas Foodbank warehouse. Attendees will enjoy live music, barbeque and catfish from Corky's Ribs & BBQ Little Rock, Arkansas craft beer and wine (just for mom and dad) and play outdoor games.

Kids can explore a petting zoo, get their faces painted, play around in bounce houses and take home free balloon animals.

Tickets for adults are $40 (includes dinner and two drinks) and kids under 12 are free. This year’s event chairs are Robert and Haley Klein.

Harvest Night is an opportunity for the community to see firsthand the facility that sources food to more than 450 food pantries, soup kitchens, homeless shelters and children’s feeding programs in 33 counties in central and southern Arkansas.
