Family Movie Day: The Maumelle Library gives you a cool, relaxing way to spend your Friday afternoon: a free movie! Thea Paves the Way: Thea Foundation’s annual sidewalk chalk event will be held on the front lawn of the William J. Clinton Presidential Library, where dozens of school, family, church, and community groups will share in the creative effort to cover the sidewalks in vibrant chalk art. Participants also get to enjoy face painting and entertainment on the grounds. It’s free to participate but groups must register in advance to reserve a spot. The artsy fun goes from 8 a.m.-noon. Arkansas Walk for Children With Apraxia of Speech: The theme for this year's walk is "Under the Big Top" and the event will feature games and prizes, a dunking booth and more! Conway police and fire departments will be in attendance to show their support. All proceeds from the walk support children who struggle with the neurological speech disorder, Apraxia of Speech. Tinkerfest at the Museum of Discovery: At this annual event, tinkering takes over the entire museum and neighboring streets for a day-long event with more than 40 hands-on, interactive activities. Each activity engages children and adults, teaches visitors how everyday objects such as cars and computers work, and provides opportunities to explore the engineering and science behind building objects. 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Regular $8-$10 admission applies. Turkish Food Festival at the Raindrop Turkish House: Looking to learn about a different culture while enjoying delicious eats? It's your lucky day. Had2Graduate Back2School Social: Head to MacArthur Park in Little Rock for a day of fun! Enjoy fun activities, free giveaways and eat tasty treats from food trucks at this fall event. The social goes from 3-6 p.m. FREE!

Harvest Night at the Arkansas Foodbank: This family friendly event at the Arkansas Foodbank includes a southern-style dinner, local craft beverages, live entertainment and children’s activities. A relaxed atmosphere provides a night of fun for the whole family, while raising awareness about the Arkansas Foodbank’s work. Adult tickets are $40, Children under 12 are free. U.S. Air Force Concert Band Performance: Head to the First Security Amphitheater for a free, patriotic show for the whole family. The concert is part of the “Little Rock Salutes” series, put on by the Little Rock Convention & Visitors Bureau. Expect popular military tunes as well as pop, jazz, rock, and classical tunes from the band. Members of the Little Rock Police Department and Little Rock Fire Department will also provide educational demonstrations activities for the whole family.
