This weekend's flurry of festivals and activities will also include four family-friendly fundraising walks for organizations such as the March of Dimes and the American Heart Association. Get moving for a good cause at one of the following walks and runs.

1. Central Arkansas March for Babies at Clinton Presidential Center: Join a team or walk with friends to raise money for the March of Dimes in Central Arkansas. Through programs and services in communities across Arkansas, the March of Dimes promotes healthy pregnancies and babies, and works to prevent premature birth and birth defects. 2. Second Annual Helping Hand "Walk, Run or Wheel" 5K/2K at Helping Hand in North Little Rock: The gorgeous running course starts at the center and goes through Northshore Trail, a wheelchair-friendly route. Adults and kids of all ages are encouraged to join the fun. The 5K starts at 8 a.m. and the 2K family fun run will begin immediately after the 5K medal ceremony. Registration includes timing services, T-shirt, and goody bags. Helping Hand provides occupational, physical and speech therapy, as well as a preschool facility, to children. 8-10 a.m. April 26. 3. Walk for the Waiting at War Memorial Stadium: Bring your walking shoes to this one-mile family walk; the event raise money to help children in foster care and children waiting for adoptive families. Registration begins at 8:15 a.m., and the opening ceremony kicks off at 9 a.m. After the mile walk, enjoy a celebration party with snacks and fun for the whole family. The walk is organized by the CALL, Immerse Arkansas, and Project Zero, with all funds benefiting the three organizations. 9 a.m. April 26. For info: WalkForTheWaiting.org.

4. Central Arkansas Heart Walk at Burns Park in North Little Rock: Join the American Heart Association in the fight against heart disease and stroke. The Heart Walk is designed to promote physical activity and heart-healthy living in an environment that is fun for the whole family. The walk begins at 9 a.m. at Burns Park on soccer fields 13 & 14. This free, family-friendly walk provides two options: 5k (3.1 miles) or 1 mile. Walkers are eligible for a Heart Walk T-shirt once they have raised a minimum of $100. 9 a.m.-noon April 26.
