The annual National Letter Carrier Food Drive will take place on May 9 this year, and your family can help "Stamp Out Hunger." Participating is easy: Simply leave nonperishable food donations at your mailbox, and your mail carrier will take care of the rest!

The national food drive benefits Feeding America, the nation's largest domestic hunger-relief organization, and its network of food banks. In past years, the drive has brought in over 70 million pounds of food for the millions of Americans struggling to put food on the table.

Donations in Little Rock and North Little Rock will be delivered to the Arkansas Foodbank, where volunteers will help sort and box the food. Donations can be any nonperishable food item, including canned soup and vegetables, pasta, rice or cereal. Leave items in a sturdy bag, and your mail carrier will collect the donations as they deliver your mail.
