The brand-new mini golf courses at Big Rock Fun Park are on schedule to open this weekend, just in time for Memorial Day!

Located at the former Sun Trackers near Bass Pro Shop, the park has been working to expand its family entertainment since we first checked in with them in January. Owner Marci Hugg Hall says that the two, 18-hole courses will be open by this Friday or Saturday at the latest.

The first half of the course is called Willow Greens, since the path winds around the property's tree line and scenic willow trees. The next 18 holes, Boulder Falls, is named for the course's giant boulder and cascading waterfalls. Hall says the waterfalls create a brook that runs along the course's holes, and all golf balls will float. Kids can hit their ball into the water and watch as the creek carries it along -- at the end, they'll have the chance to make a hole-in-one!

This replica of the Old Mill in North Little Rock is one of the features of the new mini golf courses at Big Rock Fun Park.

Families will also see a miniature version of North Little Rock's Old Mill perched along the water. The mini mill is an exact replica of the original, complete with a turning watermill. Each 18-hole course includes 9 handicap-accessible holes, as well.

In addition to playing mini golf, families can also bounce around in bumper boats, zoom around the go-cart track, take a swing in the batting cages or visit the indoor arcade.

A new building is currently under construction, as well. The new space will connect to the existing building and arcade. The space will serve as a birthday party room and house a new concession area.

Big Rock Fun Park will be open this weekend from 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Fri., 10 a.m.-10 p.m. Sat., and noon-9 p.m. Sun. On Memorial Day, the park will be open 11 a.m.-10 p.m.
