Central Arkansas is chock-full of after-school activities and enrichment opportunities for kids who have diverse interests and abilities—and children with special needs are no exception! In fact, Community Connections, a local nonprofit organization that provides extracurricular activities for differently-abled kids, will kick off its spring programs this month in Little Rock, Conway and Russellville.

If you haven't heard of the organization, you may not know that it offers a variety of programs, from theater to martial arts. All of the programs are adapted to fit the special needs of the participants, while giving kids the chance to be a part of a sports team or experience the arts, and make friends, too. Plus, all of the programs are completely free of charge to families.

This spring, children in Little Rock can participate in theater, music, soccer, art, martial arts or educational workshops. In Conway, kids also have an option to sign up for a basketball clinic taking place this Saturday, Feb. 27.
