Celebrity Attractions 2016-2017 Season, Elf the Musical

The 2016-2017 theater season will be an exciting one for Celebrity Attractions, the company that brings touring Broadway productions to central Arkansas! After two seasons at the Maumelle Performing Arts Center, the shows will return to the Robinson Center Performance Hall, which will reopen in the fall of 2016 after two years of extensive renovations.

Celebrity Attractions' homecoming season will bring powerhouse productions to central Arkansas, including "The Phantom of the Opera," "Elf the Musical," "Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella" and "Riverdance."

Celebrity Attractions 2016-2017 Season, Elf the Musical

"Elf the Musical," Dec. 3-4, 2016

Based on the 2003 Christmas classic starring Will Ferrell, this modern musical follows Buddy, an orphan raised by elves in the North Pole. When Buddy learns about his past, he travels to New York City to find his birth father—spreading lots of Christmas cheer along the way.

Celebrity Attractions 2016-2017 Season, Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella

"Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella," Jan. 13-15, 2017

Rediscover some of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s most beloved songs, including "In My Own Little Corner," "Impossible/It’s Possible" and "Ten Minutes Ago." The Tony Award-winning Broadway musical from the creators of "The Sound of Music" and "South Pacific" will delight audiences with a contemporary take on the classic tale. This production features an orchestra and all the moments families love—the pumpkin, the glass slipper, the masked ball and more.

The Phantom of the Opera, Celebrity Attractions

"The Phantom of the Opera," March 8-19, 2017

Cameron Mackintosh’s all-new production of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s classic will make its Arkansas premiere in March 2017. The story of a masked figure who lurks beneath the catacombs of the Paris Opera House has been captivating audiences on the Broadway stage for 27 years. Mackintosh's new production features reinvented staging, scenic design, and a huge traveling cast and orchestra of 52. Fans of the original production, don't worry—Andrew Lloyd Webber's music is still at the heart of the traveling show. Other key elements, including the Tony Award-winning costumes by Maria Bjornson, will also remain in the refreshed production.

Riverdance: The 20th Anniversary World Tour, April 14-16, 2017

Drawing on Irish traditions, the talents of the performers propel Irish dancing and music into the present day. The 20th Anniversary World Tour is composed by Bill Whelan, produced by Moya Doherty and directed by John McColgan and comes directly to North American from a sold out tour across Europe and Asia.
