North LIttle Rock Police Officer Tommy Norman

Central Arkansas' most famous police officer is settling down on Friday morning for a cozy storytime as the holiday season kicks off.

On Friday, Nov. 17 at 10 a.m., North Little Rock police officer Tommy Norman is taking part in the Salvation Army's Angel Tree kick-off at McCain Mall.

The celebration will feature Norman reading the Christmas classic, "The Polar Express," in addition to a musical performance by Sherwood Elementary students, a UALR Trojan dance team performance and more!

All the fun takes place on the upper level of the mall next to J.C. Penney. Families are encouraged to adopt an angel from the Salvation Army Angel Tree and fulfill a child's wish list by bringing unwrapped gifts through Saturday, Dec. 9.

Throughout the day on Nov. 17, TV anchors and Bethany Fowler with the Fish 93.3 will be manning the red kettles at the three main entrances to the mall.
