Fishing Friday at MacArthur Park Pond: Join educators at MacArthur Park pond for a morning of fishing, fun and activities. Whether it’s your first catch of the day, first of the season or first of a lifetime you will have an opportunity to get hooked on the thrill of fishing and being outdoors. Family Tennis Night at Burns Park Tennis Center: Family Tennis Night is all about spending quality time with your family and participating in a fun activity together. Equipment and instruction are provided from 6-7:30 p.m. Visit the website for more information. FREE!
Arkansas Travelers Play at Dickey-Stephens Park: Take us out to the ballgame! The Travs are playing at home this weekend against Springfield. Friday's game starts at 7:10 p.m. and on Saturday and Sunday the first pitch is at 6:10 p.m. Sunday is a Praise FM Family Game which means that the whole family gets into the stadium for $10 with a church bulletin! Wiggle Worms Vortex Science at the Museum of Discovery: Wiggle Worms introduces children 6 and younger to science in a fun, hands-on and interactive environment! The program goes from 10-10:30 a.m. is included in regular museum admission: $10 for adults and $8 for kids 12 and under. Click here for more information.
Range Day at Witt Stephens Jr. Central Arkansas Nature Center: Test your archery or BB gun skills. Practice target shooting or shoot for the first time. Targets and instruction will be provided. Depending on the weather and available staffing, the archery range or the BB gun range (not both) will be set up for target shooting. Inspect an Insect Weekend at Pinnacle Mountain State Park: Ninety-five percent of all living creatures are insects! Meet at the West Summit Area to spend the weekend learning about the different types of insects in the park and have a chance to eat one! Programming goes from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. each day.
