Opening of "First Ladies of Arkansas: Women of Their Times" Exhibit: Celebrate the opening of the Old State House Musem's newly renovated exhibit that honors the lives of Arkansas' first ladies, before, during and after their years in office. The highlight of the permanent exhibit is the largest single collection of first ladies' gowns in the U.S. outside of the Smithsonian. Seventh Annual Tinkerfest at Museum of Discovery: Once a year at Tinkerfest, tinkering takes over the entire museum and neighboring streets for a day-long event with more than 40 hands-on, interactive activities. Each activity engages children and adults, teaches visitors how everyday objects such as cars and computers work, and provides opportunities to explore the engineering and science behind building objects. ARrrrr Birding at the Little Rock Zoo: Kids in grades K-5 can join the Litle Rock Zoo seadogs aboard the Jolly Roger in search of some birding treasure! Learn the ins and outs of looking for bird treasures and get an up close experience with some of the zoo’s coolest bird species from 10-11 a.m. Cost is $10 for members and $15 for non-members. Victory Car Show at Immanuel Baptist Church: Immanuel Baptist Church of Little Rock is hosting its annual Victory Car Show from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. The Car Show, now in its sixth year, is open to the public and will feature free food, music, face painting, a bounce house and more. The show will feature 150 antique, classic, rare and stylish cars as well as some motorcycles and big rigs in the church’s south parking lot. Visit the website for more information. FREE!

3rd Annual Little Rock Paper Airplane Festival at Clinton Presidential Park: Create your airplane then test it against others to see which aircraft travels the farthest and which aircraft hangs in the air longest. The event will feature various exhibitors talking about the mechanics of paper airplanes, what it takes to create the perfect paper aircraft, sustainability and recycling. Proceeds benefit the Lymphomaniac Society. The fun starts at 11 a.m. and more information is available on the website.

Star Party at Pinnacle Mountain State Park: Weather permitting, you can try your hand at amateur astronomy from one of the region's best viewing spots. Telescopes will be provided by the Central Arkansas Astronomical Society and the fun starts at 8:30 p.m. For more info, click here. FREE!
