The whole family can see their favorite superheroes like never before in a live, action-packed show as they work to defend the universe from evil.

"Marvel universe Live! Age of Heroes" features more than 25 Marvel characters, including favorites like Groot, Black Widow, Iron Man, Hulk and dozens more. Here's a look at the storyline.

Spider-Man, the Avengers and the Guardians of the Galaxy join forces with Doctor Strange in a race against time to recover the Wand of Watoomb before it falls into Loki’s hands. This ancient artifact holds immeasurable mystical power and would allow Loki to achieve his eternal quest to crown himself ruler of Asgard and Earth. Their journey sparks new feuds with old foes, pitting student against mentor, sister against sister and brother against brother.

The family-oriented production features high-tech special effects, video projection and impressive stunts.

The set of the show plays a dual purpose, adding more character to each of the scenes, but also making up what is similar to a Parkour gym, allowing characters to perform aerial stunts and other tricks.

The show is appropriate for all ages, but keep in mind that there will be brief periods of black out, use of pyrotechnics and loud special effects.

"Marvel Universe Live! Age of Heroes" is at Verizon Arena March 8 at 7 p.m., March 9 & 10 at 11 a.m. and March 9 at 3 p.m. Tickets start at $21.50 and are available on Verizon Arena's website.

Kids ages 14 and under are welcome to attend in their favorite superhero costume. For more information on the 105-minute show, including a complete character lineup and video previews, head to the Marvel Universe Live! website
