It's back to school on Monday, but not before we make the most of this weekend!

Friday

Praise and Worship Activated Family Dance Workshop at Pinnacle Valley Receptions: The perfect spring break activity parents and kids can participate in together: a dance-infused workshop to encourage positive energy and exercise. No experience required, but dance experience and musicality is helpful. The open workshop goes from 9 a.m.-noon and kids 18 and under are admitted for free! Adult registration is $15. Storytime with Tinker Fairy at Whole Foods Market: Enjoy an interactive storytelling, then stick around to get your picture taken with The Tinker Fairy afterwards! Kids will also work on a craft and receive a free snack. Click here for more info. The fun starts at 10 a.m. FREE! 

Garvan Rocks! at Garvan Gardens: Local artist Sissy Hubbard shares the generations-old tradition of drawing on stones. Participants will create their own Garvan Rocks and hide them in the Gardens for others to find. The class goes from 10-11:30 a.m. and registration is $10 per person. Register on the website or call 800-366-4664.

Settling in Arkansas at Historic Arkansas Museum: Learn about James McVicar and the California Gold Rush during this open, come-and-go event from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at Historic Arkansas. Kids can write a letter “home” and seal it with wax, churn butter, meet a historic character and see what’s cooking in the Brownlee Kitchen. Celebrate Spring Day at Garvan Gardens: Celebrate color in the Gardens! Kid booths with special color activities – rainbow in a bag, rock painting, and color-surprise potions – will run from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Flossie’s Food Truck and the Chipmunk Cafe will be available to grab a bite to eat until 3 p.m. Admission is free for members, $15 for adults, $5 for kids ages 4-12 and free for ages 3 and under. Baa, Baa (Bye, Bye) Spring Break at Heifer Village and Urban Farm: Wrap up spring break week with crafts and coloring activities inside Heifer Village, games and chalk art in the Pavilion and a visit to the barn to see the farm animals. Yoga Storytime at CALS Main Library: Head to the third floor of the library for family storytime and some great stretching. From 10:30-11 a.m., enjoy books and activities that utilize yoga to promote early literacy and wellness for the whole family. Click here for more info. FREE!

Sunday

Princess Tea at Castle on Stagecoach: Join The Snow Queen, The Ice Princess and The Ice Cutting Man for the last winter tea party of the year! The fun starts at 12:30 p.m. with a ride in a horse-drawn carriage from the parking lot to the castle and then photos with the characters. Each attendee receives a tiara and wand before enjoying a three-course tea. During the tea, the princesses will sing, dance and entertain all the guests while mingling at each of the tables. Stuffed Animal Sleepover at Chick-Fil-A: Chick-fil-A Maumelle is hosting a sleepover for your kid’s furriest friends! Drop off your stuffed animal on Friday from 6-9 p.m. Chick-Fil-A staff will take pictures of all the shenanigans they get into while staying the night! Then, bring the family for a special breakfast with the Chick-fil-A Cow on Saturday from 8-10 a.m.! Visit the Facebook page for details.

Spring Break Activities at Witt Stephens Jr. Central Arkansas Nature Center: Experience Fishy Friday, learn All About Birds on Saturday and close the weekend with Reptile Rendezvous on Sunday. The Nature Center is offering free activities including crafts, animal feedings and educational games. Get all the details right hereFREE!

“Charlotte's Web” at Arkansas Arts Center Children’s Theatre: A spider and a pig may be an unlikely pair of best friends, but Wilbur needs a one-of-a-kind friend — and Charlotte the spider is a perfect companion. Showtimes are 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Friday and 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Tickets are $10 for members and $12.50 for non-members. More details are available here.

Spring Break at the Little Rock Zoo: The Zoo has fun activities planned all weekend long! From penguin feedngs to carousel rides to time with bears, elephants, rhinos and other exotic creatures, there's something for everyone to enjoy!
