Story Time with The Little Mermaid at Whole Foods Market: Enjoy a story time with The Little Mermaid, sing and dance along as she leads you through "Under the Sea," take your picture with her afterwards! The Big Catch Fishing Derby at MacArthur Park: The entire family can enjoy a day full of fun, food, games and prizes from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Activities include archery, BB gun shooting, a community health fair, fish cooking demonstrations and more! Spring Kayak Float at the Little Maumelle River: Spend a beautiful spring morning out on the water! On this guided tour you'll see birds, fish, flowers and more. The float goes from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. and kayakers should pack a lunch and water bottle and wear shoes that can get wet. Cost is $40 per kayak and more details are availabe here.

Paint & Storytime at The Painted Pig Studio: It's important to build creative expression at an early age, and just getting a paintbrush in your kids' hands is the first step! This one-hour storytime and painting session from 10-11 a.m. features a small project aimed at kids up to age 5. The class is $16 and pre-registration is required. Click here for more information.

Messtival at the Museum of Discovery: A day full of making ooey, gooey, slimy, foamy messes! What’s even better? You don’t have to clean it up. The museum has activities for the whole family including a massive car wash-style area kids can go through, a Slip ’N’ Slide and more! Get ready to get messy. The mess making goes from 10 a.m-3 p.m. and is included in regular museum admission: $8 for kids and $10 for adults. Visit the website for more information.

Story Explore at Mosaic Templars Cultural Center: Enjoy a new, free reading program, Story Explore, at one of Little Rock’s fantastic museums! Bowman Food Fest at Bowman Pointe Apartments and The Pointe Brodie Creek: Bowman Food Fest celebrates the best of Little Rock’s continuously growing food and entertainment culture with a full lineup of food trucks, performers from Arkansas Circus Arts outdoor games and more. Free parking will be available at The Church at Rock Creek on 36th Street. A trolley service will transport visitors from property to property. 35th Annual International Greek Food Festival at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church: Opa! It's time for baklava, gyros and more at this annual family-friendly event. Parking and trolley service are free and admission is $3 or three canned food items for the Arkansas Food Bank.
