Kicking off its Main Stage EdUCAtion series in October, the Reynolds Perfomance Hall at University of Central Arkansas is presenting a full lineup of children's shows in their 2018-19 season in addition to several family-friendly productions.

The Conway theater will feature 28 shows in its 20th season, including six Main Stage EdUCAtion shows. The Main Stage Education series debuted in 2015-2016 and the shows are for school groups.

The season also features the Arkansas premiere of "The Spongebob Musical," as well as other family-friendly productions.

Shows on the Main Stage EdUCAtion lineup are:

  • “Miss Nelson Has a Field Day,” 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. on Oct. 17
  • “Lightwire Theatre - A Very Electric Christmas,” 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. on Dec. 9
  • “Walk On: The Story of Rosa Parks,” 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. on Jan. 28, 2020 
  • “The Diary of Anne Frank,” 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. on Feb. 18, 2020 
  • “Catapult – The Amazing Magic of Dancing Shadows,” 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. on Feb. 27, 2020
  • “The Magic School Bus,” 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. on March 13, 2020

“This series is a big hit among educators across the state of Arkansas. This year we served over 12,000 people, with schools from all corners of the state attending, including Batesville, Dover, Stuttgart, Fox, Hot Springs Little Rock and more,” said Amanda Horton, director of Reynolds.

Other family-friendly highlights of the 2019-2020 season include:

  • "The Spongebob Musical," 7:30 p.m. on Jan. 21, 2020
  • “American Girl Live: An All New Musical,” 3 p.m. on Jan. 25, 2020
  • "Beauty and the Beast" live movie in concert with the Conway Symphony Orchestra, 7:30 p.m. on March 7, 2020
