Friday

Fancyful Fairytale Story Time at Whole Foods Market: Enjoy storytime with the Latin Princess, sing along to her performance of “My Time" and get your picture taken with her afterwards! Tie-Dye Fri-dye at Garvan Gardens: The Gardens is getting groovy! From 11 a.m.-5 p.m., don your tie-dye attire to celebrate with a beer garden (for mom and dad) and live music. Flossie’s food truck and Blue Elephant snow cones will be on site and everyone can cool off at sprinkler stations in the Children’s Garden and at the Ellipse. Summer Skate Party at Arkansas Skatium: It's time to get beachy! Celebrate the first day of summer with fun games, snocones and lots of skating. The fun goes down from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. and 7:30-10 p.m. Click here for details.

Father-Son Building Breakfast at Chick-fil-A Maumelle: Enjoy a morning of breakfast, bonding and building! Breakfast will be available for purchase, but the activity is free. RSVP for the event online to guaruntee your spot. Building fun goes from 8:45-10:30 a.m. FREE!

Children's Gallery Grand Re-Opening at Historic Arkansas: Check out a brand new exhibit designed for kids 4-10 years old! Children can use a skeleton key to unlock the front door of a period-inspired playhouse, pick plush vegetables from a mini garden, dress up in 19th century clothing and more. From 9 a.m.-noon there will be hands-on crafts, silly songs with comedic duo mömandpöp, a kids’ art show and snacks. Click here for more details. FREE!

Summer Tea Party at Castle on Stagecoach: Join The Island Princess, The Little Mermaid, and The Arabian Princess at a real castle right here in Little Rock! The party starts at 12:30 p.m. and guests enjoy a ride in a horse-drawn carriage; take photos; and sing, dance and laugh with the princesses. Kids Yoga at Arkansas Yoga Collective: Kids ages 6-12 will learn yoga poses and sequences, play movement games, and use fun hands-on activities to build a love for themselves the Earth! Class registration is $10 and the fun goes from 3-4 p.m. Click here for more information.

"Willy Wonka Jr." at The Rep: A musical treat for generations of candy lovers! Come see a talented cast of local, young actors bring this magical story to life on The Rep stage. "Matilda the Musical" at The Studio Theatre: Matilda is unloved by her cruel parents but impresses her schoolteacher, the highly loveable Miss Honey. Her school life isn't completely smooth sailing, however – thanks to the school's mean headmistress, Miss Trunchbull. “Toy Story 4” Family Parties at Movie Tavern: Kick off the opening weekend of “Toy Story 4” at Movie Tavern! Attendees can get their pictures taken in a fun photo booth, make their own alien popcorn bags and make “Forky” characters to have their own toy from the new film.
