Sixty-foot bolts of lighting will be (safely) flying through the sky at Shock the Rock!, where the world's largest Tesla coil is putting on a show on Saturday.

At Shock the Rock!, the world-record coil will be centered on the large concrete pad at the western edge of the Clinton Center grounds cordoned off from the crowd. A 45-minute show will light up the sky starting at 8:45 p.m. But the fun starts before that!

Pre-show festivites kick off at 6:30 p.m. Museum of Discovery educators will present electricity-related demonstrations and host hands-on activities with guests to prepare attendees for the main event.

There will be food trucks on site, but outside food is not allowed. Bring lawn chairs and blankets so that you have a spot to relax while watching the show. Ear protection is also highly encouraged. Bring your own, or the Museum of Discovery will have earplugs available at no cost.
