It's time for back-to-school bashes and end of summer fun!

Friday

Bright Night at Big Rock Fun Park: Join Methodist Family Health for glowing mini golf, bumper boats, arcade games and more! Tickets are $30 and each atteendee can try three activities at the park and enjoy dinner. The fun goes from 5-8 p.m. and more information is available on Methodist Family Health's website.

Saturday

Arkansas State Police Open House: Spend the day with the Arkansas State Police! Meet troopers, tour vehicles, enjoy great food and learn about these first responders from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. The event takes place at Troop A Headquarters at 1 State Police Plaza Drive. Click here for more information. FREE!

Ice Cream Social at William F. Laman Public Library Main Branch: Cool down with a sweet treat at the library! Stop by from 1-3 p.m. to grab some books and enjoy some ice cream while you're at the libary. FREE!

Smokey Bear's Birthday Party at Mosaic Templars Cultural Center: Smokey Bear is turning 75! He'll be there to take photos and celebrate. Head of the Class Bash at University of Arkansas at Little Rock: The Clinton Presidential Center is celebrating with a free family festival! At the Jack Stephens Center, kids can pick up one of 3,000 free backpacks, get a free health and dental screening, jump around in bounce houses ane more. Travs vs. Frisco Roughriders at Dickey-Stephens Park: The Travs play three home games this weekend, with lots of fun promotions — including kids being able to run the bases on Friday and Sunday!
