HarvestFest in Hillcrest: The day starts with a farmers market and then you'll find live music, tons of food, free kids activities, a dog show and tons of vendors taking over the streets of Hillcrest starting at 11 a.m. at this family favorite festival. Celebrate Fall! at Garvan Gardens: At the fourth annual Celebrate Fall! Climb on the Spooky Train, visit the haunted depot and pick your own pumpkin from the pumpkin patch from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Children’s craft booths and various festival games will be located throughout the gardens and Chipmunk Café will serve fall treats. Fall Celebration at River Valley Horticultural Products: Enjoy interactive, educational and creative activities with representatives from the North Little Rock High School Art Department, Toltec Mounds, the children's library and other local organizations. Take photos at the pumpkin and gourd area and grab food from Southern Cravings food truck and pastries from culinary students at University of Arkansas – Pulaski Technical College. Fishing Derby at Burns Park: Try your luck at the Burns Park Red Covered Bridge from 10 a.m.-noon. Fishing poles are provided free. Children can polish their fishing skills at the Laman Library Main Branch with programs and events the week leading up to the tournament. Registration is required. Pumpkin Festival at the Bernice Garden: The SoMa farmers market is feeling a little orange this week with a specially themed pumpkin event. There will be pumpkin food and drinks, pumpkin-themed items, music and pumpkins for sale (of course). The fall fun goes from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. For more info, click here. FREE!

AR Sensory Festival at Pleasant Ridge Town Center: Enjoy a bouncy house, food trucks, activities for kids and a raffle for a sensory gift basket. All proceeds benefit Civitan Foundation and Civitan Services Preschool. The fun goes from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Visit the Facebook page for more details. FREE!

Lion's Pride Birthday Bash at the Little Rock Zoo: Bahari is turning 13 and Inara and Saphira are turning 5! Cclebrate their brthdays from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. with activities and crafts, a lion animal parade and a birthday celebration with cake and refreshments. Click here for more details. Hispanic Heritage Month Family Program at the Clinton Center: Head to the Clinton Center to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month. There will be a showing of "Coco" beginning at 12:30 p.m., followed by art activities and live music for the entire family to enjoy. Families are also invited to view the current temporary exhibit at the Clinton Center, "José Sacal: A Universal Mexican." Cupcakes for Goodness Sake in Argenta: Head to Argenta as the historic streets are transformed into a Halloween town! Try all the sweets you can handle from lots of local vendors and chefs from 4-8 p.m. The event raises funds for CareLink. Fish Fry at Camp Aldersgate: Entering its 36th year, Camp Aldersgate’s Fish Fry raises money to create life-changing experiences for individuals with special needs. At the event from 11:30 a.m.-3 p.m., munch on delicious food, shop local merchants, take a tour of the campgrounds and enjoy a plethora of children’s activities like face painting, a cupcake walk and a petting zoo.
