Holiday Open House at Pleasant Ridge Town Center: Starting at 4 p.m., drop in to meet Santa and his elves, enjoy a carriage ride and listen to some holiday tunes while you shop the afternoon away. FREE

A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood Screening: See this delightful film at 4:30, 7 or 9:25 p.m. at the Riverdale 10 VIP Cinema. Tickets are $9.25 for the early show. For the later shows, admission is $11.25 for adults, $9.25 for children and seniors.

Friday

Greg Adams Book Signing: From 10 a.m.-2 p.m., Greg Adams will sign copies of his new book, “Adam Gets Back in the Game,” in the Lobby Train Area at Arkansas Children’s Hospital. The signing will be part of the ACH Bereavement Literature Fair. Copies of the book will be available for purchase through the gift shop, and Et Alia Press will donate $1 from every book sold at the event to the Center for Good Mourning. 

Food Truck, Fire & Music Night at The Bramble: Grab the kiddos, lawn chairs and blankets, buy some delicious eats from Delta Biscuit Co. and Low Ivy Catering, then relax to soft acoustic tunes by Farmer Fin. Starts at 5 p.m. FREE

Arkansas Symphony Youth Orchestra Fall Concert: The ASYO is taking the stage for their fall show at the Woolly Auditorium at the Arkansas School for the Blind and Visually Impaired. The show features Tchaikovsky’s “Nutcracker Suite,” along with other pieces. It starts at 7:30 p.m. and costs $10.

Harry Potter Party & Lock-In at Spec Ops Gaming Lounge: The lounge’s first-ever cosplay party and lock-in is set for 8 p.m. Friday-6 a.m. Saturday. There will be trivia, a cosplay costume contest, wand making, music, video games and more. Get sorted into your Hogwarts house, and search for horcruxes during a scavenger hunt. The cost is $25 for unlimited video game and board game play. Food, drinks and beer will be available for purchase. All ages are welcome, kids ages 15 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

Museum School Sale: Find great gifts, start your art collection and support local talent at the Arkansas Arts Center’s annual Museum School Sale at the Arkansas State Fairgrounds Hall of Industry. The sale is 9 a.m.-3 p.m. FREE to attend. FREE secured parking.

Vintage and Craft Market at Bernice Garden: Stop by SoMa from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. for a chance to pick up vintage and handmade crafts and clothes. Enjoy food, music and more while you shop. FREE

Talkin’ Turkey at Witt Stephens Jr. Central Arkansas Nature Center:  From 10:30-11:30 a.m. or 12:30-1:30 p.m., learn about where turkeys live, their diet and their history in Arkansas. FREE

Snow & Ice Family at Park Plaza Mall: Join the Snow Queen, Ice Princess and Ice-Cutting Man for a winter celebration on the 3rd Level East, near H&M, at 11 a.m. Photos and face painting will be available.

Family Movie at Roosevelt Thompson Library: Enjoy a 3 p.m. showing of “Free Birds.” The movie is about two turkeys who travel back in time to the first Thanksgiving to change the traditional menu. All ages are welcome. FREE

Winter Princess Night at Chick-fil-A at Chenal & Markham: Bring your cute little kiddos dressed in their best princess costume to meet their favorite winter princesses at 4 p.m. FREE
