This school year, I sent my oldest to KINDERGARTEN. (Yes, all caps/yelling necessary!) With all the intensity associated with this major milestone, it’s impossible to count the number of frantic/confused/impassioned conversations I had with fellow new-to-the district parents about how exactly to enroll our big kids for school. 

So, for all of you in this position now, I get it. Take a deep breath, and I hope this quick guide helps point you in the right direction! 

LRSD

Open enrollment for new students, returning students from a school outside LRSD, and P3 and P4 students is almost over. If you have not registered, you have until tomorrow, January 17, to do so. 

Important Dates:

• January 17: Open Enrollment Ends

• March 9-13: 2020 electronic check-in window for grades 9-11

Enrollment Quick Guide 

• Step 1: Register online at Registration.LRSD.Org.

• Step 2: Take documents to the Student Registration Office at 501 Sherman St. for K-12. Take documents to the Early Childhood Center at 5240 Mabelvale Pike for P3 and 4.

PCSSD

Open enrollment just opened for PCSSD! New students, it’s your time to sign up for your zoned school or apply for School Choice. 

Important Dates:

• January 6 – May 1, 2020: Arkansas School Choice Applications accepted

• January 13, 2020: Online registration opens for students new to the District in grades K through 12.

• February 3 – May 1, 2020: Returning student registration

• May 18, 2020: Equity and Pupil Services will begin accepting permits
