Social distancing may have put a pause on classic Easter activities, but the weekend still holds some fun events! We found several safe or virtual ways to connect with our community and celebrate.

Thursday-Saturday

2nd Annual Small Bites Easter Egg Hunt

If your kids have been hunting eggs in the backyard, it’s time to take things up a notch. Every day this week the Small Bites Pediatric Dentist team will hide one egg in Little Rock or Pine Bluff. Follow the clues on their Instagram or Facebook to be the first one to find it! Winners will receive a custom prize pack from The Toggery. Game, on.

Friday

Jelly Bean Guessing Game at WordsWorth Books

A sweet deal: Get closest to the correct number of jelly beans in this jar to win a $20 WordsWorth gift card. To enter, simply comment on their Facebook page with your guess OR put your name, number and guess on a piece of paper and slip it under the store’s door.

CALS Home Movie Night: “The Princess and the Frog”

Stream “The Princess and the Frog” at home (available on Netflix and Disney+) this Friday night between 6-9 p.m. Then, come together as an (online) community to discuss the film. Zero frog kissing required.

Saturday

White Water Tavern Market

Gather supplies for Easter lunch at the White Water Tavern Market. Stalls with goods from local farmers will be set up in White Water’s parking lot between 11 a.m and 2 p.m. All participants will be practicing safe social distancing.

The Centers Virtual Bunny Run 5K

Who needs a good excuse to make their kid run around the block? They can race for a great cause in The Centers Virtual Bunny Run 5K! The event will help support the Centers for Youth and Families’ mission to provide treatment and services to Arkansas children and families. Find out how to register here

And The Beat Goes On Arkansas – A Live Streaming Event presented by Simmons Bank

Have a date night in with “And The Beat Goes On Arkansas.” This live stream event presented by Simmons Bank will feature Arkansas’ own Justin Moore. Fellow country music artists — Tracy Lawrence, Joe Nichols, Adam Hambrick and Heath Sanders — will join (remotely). All donations will benefit The Feeding America Food Banks in Arkansas and Hunger Relief Alliance as they work to provide aid to those affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Tune in at 7 p.m.

Sunday

Live Stream an Easter Service

Connect with a local congregation to celebrate the holiday. At its core, Easter is all about hope — a welcome theme as we all deal with constant change, social distance and, at times, fear. Here’s a list of just a few Little Rock churches that are live streaming their services:
