Three of your favorite Little Rock spots will be more accessible than ever in September and October. Families will be able to walk and bike to the Children’s Library, Little Rock Zoo and War Memorial Park thanks to two temporary walking and biking lanes on Jonesboro Drive. 

This effort comes after CALS received a grant to join Safe Routes to Parks Activating Communities. The program’s major goal is to improve travel to parks — regardless of people’s age, race, ability and access to cars — in our community. And improved travel to parks can improve Little Rock families’ mental, physical and social health. That’s a lot of goodness right there.

Where: Jonesboro Drive between 12th St. and Zoo Drive
